Ants: The insect known as ants have segmented bodies with three distinct body parts; head, thorax, and abdomen, in various colors like black, brown, and reddish. They are social insects and live in colonies, leaving visible trails of pheromones. This makes it easy to track them to their nesting sites.

Cockroaches: The creatures known as cockroaches have flat bodies with long antennae and six legs that come in brown or black. They are nocturnal and often hide in dark, moist areas during the day. They have rapid reproduction and can act as disease carriers. You get effective control when you understand their hiding spots.

Bed Bugs: Bed bugs are small with flat, oval bodies the size of an apple seed. They feed on blood and commonly hide around beds and furniture.

Termites:Termites are mostly pale insects with soft bodies and can sometimes be winged. They sustain themselves by consuming cellulose, which is commonly found in wood and paper products. They make mud tubes for shelter and can cause structural damage over time.

Rodents: Rats are larger and have thicker tails than mice. They tend to be most active at night and often leave gnaw marks and droppings around. They hide in dark areas and have the ability to pass through tight spaces.

Mosquito:Small flying insects with slender bodies and thin legs. They lay their eggs in unmoving water and are most active during dawn and dusk.

Spiders: Spiders possess two main body parts and typically eight legs. These creatures come in various sizes, shapes, and colors. It is vital to understand the harmful species and their preferred habitat.

In 1815, the Upper East Side was a farmland and market garden district. The Boston Post Road traversed the Upper East Side, locally called the Eastern Post Road; milepost 6 was near the northeast corner of Third Avenue and 81st Street. From 1833 to 1837 the New York and Harlem Railroad, one of the earliest railway systems in the United States, was extended through the Upper East Side along Fourth Avenue (later renamed Park Avenue). A hamlet grew near the 86th Street station, becoming the Yorkville neighborhood as gradual yet steady commercial development occurred. The current street grid was laid-out between 1839 and 1844 as part of the Commissioners' Plan of 1811, so the Eastern Post Road was abandoned. The community had been referred to as Yorkville before 1867.
